I, together with my Jakarta Pinoy friends, enjoy touring relatives and friends visiting Indonesia. So when i was asked if i wanted to join Alcantara family for a day in Snowbay, which i was not sure if i was really keen on a trip to a water theme park BUT i said yes. hehe.
Snowbay Water Park is located inside Taman Mini Park in Jakarta. It can be reached either through public or private transportation. we have decided the former. Transjakarta way from North Jakarta to Taman Mini.
The normal rate for weekend per person is 150,000 IDR. Thankfully, they have an on-going promotion. Because of this promotion, each person only paid 90,000 IDR. Not so bad! Moreover, there are several atm machines if you ever needed cash.
Anyway, it was a sunday so imagine the massive crowd greeted us when we arrived. Having resourceful companions, we were able to have a comfortable day lounging under some trees near the wave pool. they were able to score empty tables and chairs from nearby cabanas. hehe.
Several pools can be found inside the water park.

pool with a humungous bucket of water splashes the pool. My friends called it "water bucket challenge pool". And yes, they pretended (with video) it was like an ice bucket challenge experience. haha!
Snow bay is also known for its fun water slide activities. There were some dizzy causing slides (according to bex) and there were also you-want-to-do-it-again-fun slides. Whichever you prefer, they have it.
Let me share to you some photos...
and of course, group picture!

Last Thoughts About Snow Bay
Unknown for some, i'm not really a water park fan. I can't remember the last time i actually dipped in a pool, let alone water slides. haha! Anyway, the whole experience was okay. I can't say it was super okay because it was too hot. the weather was unbearably hot that day. I felt really unwell towards the end of the day.
Whining about the scorching heat aside, i enjoyed the experience. It was fun hanging out with pinoys which i think was the only reason i agreed to come. hahaha!
If asked if i see myself visiting Snowbay again, i would have to say NO. I think the one time experience is enough. hehehe!
