My first USA trip won't be complete without visiting my brother and his family. I have been looking forward to this day ever since his eldest daughter was born and now they have two more adorable daughters and i was lucky enough to cuddle with them all.
Anyway, I flew via Alaska Airlines from Orlando. It was my first domestic US trip ever and despite being sick (yep, i got sick. boo!) the entire flight experience was bearable. Arrival time was late at night and travel time from airport to my brother's place took 1 hour.
But the most amazing thing happened. on our way home from the airport, we passed by the Seattle downtown and the skyscrapers looked amazing. The night view of the city was utterly breath taking. It was love at first sight! No kid. I was truly mesmerized by the sight. I can't stop gushing. Aaaaah!
Moving forward, i was greeted by my niece and my brother's wife and immediately chit chatted for a bit and then retired for the night.
The following day, since my brother still had work, i stayed home with the kids and sis in law. I was still nursing my stupid jetlag and i just wanted to stay home for the day.
I don't mind staying as i was kept busy and amused by the company of my lovely and adorable nieces a.k.a. babydolls.
watching them play
sooo cute!

On the following day, We have decided to go to Seattle to visit Seattle Aquarium. I was so giddy because you know, i heart aquariums! hahaha!
Here are some photos...
with my tour guides
After our aquarium tour, we walked for a bit to have our lunch. We were at the Fisherman's wharf area so we decided to check out what food options they have in a food court-like place. We sat outdoor with an overlooking view of the bay. Nice!
We went home to drop off the kids and i was itching for a power nap. haha! after which, we all went to Costco to buy stuff for the balikbayan box for the Philippines.

After dinner, My brother and i went to the airport to pick up The Boyfriend. I was excited to show him the Seattle skyline at night. He teased me that i wanted to move to Seattle because i was truly amazed. Well, kinda. haha!
Reunited after 3 long day. echos!
On our next day, we went back to Seattle again but we dropped by first at... Bruce Lee's Grave. The Boyfriend is a huge fan! So pagbigyan. haha!

After this side trip, we then went to Seattle to visit the Space Needle. The queue was long and waiting time would take an hour or more so we opted to take the VIP Pass (Thank you sweetheart for the VIP passes!). Given the VIP Pass, we were immediately prioritized in going up the Observation deck. Yay!
But first, let us take a Space Needle Postcard Selfie. haha!
Note: You
may buy the hard copy of the photo with its own space needle souvenir frame or you may opt to check it out from
the website on your ticket to download the photo for free.
The Observation Deck was a nice experience to have a 360 degress view of the city. A little bit too touristy but i think it should be experienced at least once when visiting Seattle.
As a first timer in Seattle, a visit to Pike Place Market is a must! Pike Place visit won't be complete without queuing to the very first Starbucks Cafe.
The queue was long but the wait was entertaining because of a side street performance.
Note: tumblers and other merchandise on the shelf are for display purposes only. Placing of order is done at the counter.
i heard their coffee tastes different and better than any other starbucks branches. Though i can't attest to that because i am not a coffee afficionado. Meanwhile, The Boyfriend who is a coffee addict told me that the taste was the same with other starbucks branches.
We walked around the pike place market after. Sadly, i didn't enjoy that much because i was feeling under the weather. I vow to go back next time and take shitload of photos. *sigh*
We went home pretty early and took a nap for the rest of the afternoon.
On our last night in Washington, The Boyfriend and I were treated for a BBQ feast at Everett with the whole gang! Yum yum!
After dinner, we dropped by Trader Joe's. I hoarded a lot. like a lot. Hahaha!
The boyfriend and I was supposed to have a date night at a nearby cinema from my brother's place but i was sick so we decided to rest as we were traveling early the following day.
Last Thoughts about Washington
It was a memorable experience to visit this side of the country. And Seattle, wow, i am still amazed with that city. Seattle reminds me of Sydney. I don't why, but maybe it is because of the harbour view plus the night view of the city's skyline was full of life or maybe i am just crazy. haha!
Anyway, i am still bummed that i was pretty sick the half time that i was there so i didn't get to enjoy some places plus i only have a handful of photos.
Nevertheless, i am looking forward [read: super excited] to visit again which will happen soon. *wink* yay! Pondering about my next visit, I realize i need more than 3 days to cuddle with my babydolls and visit one of my favorite cities now, Seattle. So let's see how long will i stay next time. hehe.
Dear Seattle, I left a piece of my (traveling) heart with you. I can't wait to see you again. Love, Me.
