Feb 5 - 9, 2011
since my trip consisted of 2 places in palawan, i've decided to combine all of my food stops in one entry.
let's start...
EL NIDO
SQUIDOS
actual expense: ~700 php
what we ordered: cucumber salad, grilled squid with rice, squid in butter and lemon, banana shake and iced tea with milk
note: no service charge included. cash basis only.
over all verdict: so - so. their stuffed squid were all out the time we ordered and we waited for almost an hour for our order. infairness, the server was apologetic for the delay as there was only 1 cook that night.
CAFE TAIYO
actual expense: 365 php
what we ordered: egg, onion and tomatoes with toasts, hotsilog (minus the sinangag rice) and calamansi juice
note: cash basis only
overall verdict: overrated! so damn expensive with a mediocre taste.

actual expense: 250 php
what we ordered: corned beef with rice (no pic), choco-strawberry shake, omelette and toast with coffee (no pic)

note: cash basis only. free wifi. beach front (though you need to enter a small walkway beside a house to get here if coming from the main road)
overall verdict: we were the only ones at the restaurant and we were treated very nicely. kuya "becky", the waiter, was very attentive and accommodating. i personally chose this restaurant for us to experience shisha.
