one year in the making trip! finally, after availing PAL's promo, we pushed through with our trip.yaaay! since we only have a half day to explore the city, we might as well sulitin through food tripping!! hahaha :))
GETTING FROM/TO/AROUND
sibulan airport to city port = 50 pesos (via tricycle)
hotel to airport = 50 pesos (via tricycle)
getting around the city = 7.50 pesos/each (tricycle)
walking/by foot = free! instant work out pa! hahaha :))
ACCOMMODATION
we stayed in hotel nicanor. one of the newest hotels in dumaguete city. the room was spacious, clean and very nice. though there was an on going construction and it was very loud. good thing, we were out most of the time. no breakfast and hotel transfer included. good location as BPI was just beside the hotel and numerous food chains around the block :)
TOURIST SPOTS
Dumaguete Belfry - city's bell tower. and the church itseld was nice. one of the oldest stone churches in negros province
Siliman University - thanks to lovette, we were able to visit and explore the campus. oooooh this was where the movie "close to you" was shot! the one where sam milby was singing in a small concert.aaah! showbizzzzz.hahaha!
Dumaguete Boulevard - nice! like manila baywalk but way way better!hehe
FOOD SPOTS
fried ice cream = nice to try. for only 80 pesos. flavors to choose from were mocha, pandan, ube, etc. why not?!
sansrival restaurant = i found it overrated. ambience was nice but the cakes were so-so.
Jo's Inato = yummy chicken! around 100 pesos for a meal. not bad!
Hayahay Bar and Grill = like gerry's grill. yummy infairness!

Hi! This blog is really helpful :)
Question, if we decide to eat at Jo's or Hayahay - is it near Sans Rival & Belfry/Cathedral na lang? Can we just walk? Kaya ba? With our bags/luggages? Derecho na kasi kami sa airport nito.

anyway, from sansrival restaurant to belfry will take you 7 - 10 minute walk. malayo yung hayahay, need to ride a tricycle to reach here. sa jo's inato, 7 - 10 minute walk din from sansrival restaurant :)
