beach bums at Zambales

May 2 - 3, 2010

after a month of planning, we finally pushed through. yaaaay! best beach experience with my chicas :)

2 days of nonstop chikahan about boys, love and sex.hahahahahaha :))

GETTING THERE/FROM/TO
manila - zambales: we took victory liner bus from caloocan en route to Sta. Cruz, Zambales. upon disembarking the bus in San Antonio,we rode tricycle going to Megan's resort in Brgy. Pundakit.

zambales - manila: we hailed tricycle, outside megan's resort. at the main high way, we rode elbow bus en route to olongapo. upon disembarking in olongapo city, we walked toward victory liner bus terminal. ticket line to cubao bound bus was very very long so we opted to ride caloocan bound bus.

island hopping - we hired a bangka to bring us to all the spots. we went to camara and capones islands on our first day (late afternoon) and anawangin cove on our second day (early morning). i think we spent not more than 3K php for the boat trips.

ACCOMMODATION

we stayed at megan's resort as this was only the resort that had vacancy and cheap. our room was wide and nice. bathroom was also clean. though, there was a shortage of water twice during our stay. they used their tank to supply water during the shortage.

TOURIST SPOTS

camara island - very very nice! good spot for sunbathing :)
capones lighthouse - only my 2 friends went up to lighthouse, 3 of us remained at the bottom. hiking event from the shore to reach lighthouse.haha.
capones island - nice sand and beach! good spot to spend late afternoon :)
anawangin cove - too many campers, the sand is gray-ish in color. i didn't enjoy swimming at the beach.hehe.

**we were 5 in a group and only spent ~2K php each for the overnight trip. :)
