It's almost the end of the year and here i am making a travel resolution list. The reason behind it was the self realization that i have been slacking off big time when it comes to traveling. I am lucky enough to travel so i should be making the most out of it. Hence, the list.
Here are some changes i have contemplated over the past few weeks after my biggest travel this year.
1. Take a shitload of photos
I used to be a camwhore. Now i sometimes rely on my phone for taking pictures for almost everything that when the battery gets empty, i stop taking photos even though i have my digicam with me. Pure laziness and phone dependency got into me. I have to make use of my camera more. I am actually thinking of buying a new camera thinking i'll be more motivated to take photos but i know i'm just making an excuse with my laziness. Haha!
Moreover, i should take more scenery, travel related and random photos. As much as i love taking photos with friends, families and The boyfriend, i think it's wise to keep some photos private especially when i blog. Plus, it would be more visually appealing if i have photos to back up all the shit that i have been blabbering in my blog. Haha!
2. Tweaking photos
This is for my instagram and blog posts. Playing with filters and a little editing give a certain flair and overall dramatic look to photos. I am still researching and reviewing nice apps to use. Feeling artsy fartsy.
3. Jot down notes
This is something i really have to do. My memory is not as vivid and accurate like before. I'm blaming my age. I kid. Hehe. Nowadays, i find my self typing "i can't recall" when blogging. So frustrating. Ugh.
4. Improve social skills
I don't want to consider my self as a travel snob but i really have a hard time making small talks to strangers or socializing when traveling. I have to train myself to be more sociable. This is something i have been struggling with since forever. Hahaha!
5. Be more gastronomically adventurous
I am a picky eater. I always order what i consider "safe". I do want to challenge myself to try different cuisines next time. I may not finish the whole dish but it's better to try than to regret right?!
In all fairness, i tried fried tarantula. That must account for something right? I should do that more often; To try more weird and crazy food and surprise my palate.
6. Research well
I am a hardcore researcher before my travels. That back pedaled a few years back. I admit it worked in some occasions as i started embracing spontaneity when it comes to traveling (and in life). In some way, researching for travels gives me a glimpse of my upcoming trip and i wanted to feel that motivation and excitement again. As what they say, vacation starts when you start planning your holiday.
7. Start making travel videos
This is something i'm really keen in doing next time i travel. Anyway, besides photos, videos are also a nice way of narrating travel experiences. Plus, it's also a nice memoir for travels.
8. Improve my techie retardness
I have the most boring lay out of a blog in the whole universe. Haaaay. I should definitely do something about it. I think i have to study css html and all that jazz OR i can find someone to do it for me. Either way, this has to happen soon.
9. Find my signature pose
Almost everyone has their own signature pose and i have yet to find mine. So arte, i know! I already have options from my past travels and i'm thinking to use one of them as My pose. Hahahaha!
10. Add more fashion travel-related posts
I used to include my #ootd in my travel entries. I should bring that back for own vanity sake. Haha! Moreover, i'm thinking of adding fashion related to travel posts like what to wear in different seasons, my pegs for my upcoming trips and anything random shiznit i can think of.
