Given an amazing race itinerary i had for my 2 weeks US vacation, my only free time for a simple get together with the Tuesday Group was the day after i arrived in LA. So by that time i was still fighting off jet lag and immersing myself to California culture (whut?!). haha!
Anyway, Ate Jo, The boyfriend and I drove to Downey, California to pick up Dax. We then went for a lunch and i had a massive serving of pasta. haha!
After our sumptuous lunch, they have decided to have a road trip to one of the beaches in California. Of course the clueless me just went with the flow. They were wondering how i managed to stay up alive given i just arrived the night before. They were joking that it must be my adrenaline left in my system. Well, i think it was kinda true. haha!
moving on, i was actually impressed with Manhattan Beach. While looking for an available parking, the roads and "feel" reminded me of Bondi Beach in Sydney. It was summer season so the beach was crowded with people sun bathing, playing beach sports and swimming at beach.
We only stayed for a while as The Boyfriend and I were catching late night flight enroute to Florida.
Last Thoughts About Manhattan Beach
Looking back, it's a bit disappointing only having a handful of photos. Boo! Moreover, get together like this is not enough for just a couple of hours. Boo again!
Despite the limited time spent with my friends waaaaaaay back from ILLC, Philippines, it was amazing to finally have a simple get together in America pa! I am hopeful we'll have another get together soon. Like soon, soon. Echos!
