my third country for the month of june. This trip was actually a reward for myself for surviving 5 months of travel hiatus due to passport issues.
moving forward, i booked myself a daytrip round trip to Singapore to watch Le Noir which was only shown for limited time.
According to Marina Bay Sands:
"Starring some of the most incredible acts on earth, LE NOIR is an extraordinary evening of intimate cirque style entertainment. A cast of world class acrobats, musicians, specialty acts and comedians are the centerpiece of this cutting edge production.
LE NOIR features former stars of Cirque du Soleil and some of the greatest acrobatic performers in the world. This stylish performance was Singapore’s smash hit in 2013 and now returns with new even more daring performances that will BLOW YOUR MIND.
LE NOIR brings the audience closer to the artists than any other show. The content is beautiful, seductive and at times hilariously naughty and features surprising special effects that transform the Mastercard Theatre into a magical and intimate environment.
LE NOIR is more than a show, it’s a theatrical experience that engages every sense and has been designed to be enjoyed by audiences young and old (and everyone in between)."
Anyhoo, i took the earliest (and cheapest) flight from Jakarta to Singapore via Lion Air and vice versa at its 2nd to the last flight (cheapest fare, again!) via AirAsia.
enroute to Singapore
I am blessed to have company during my day trip in Singapore. Though being a third wheel that day, i really don't mind as i got used to it with Norman since i met him. hahaha!
My Singapore trip won't be complete without eating the famous hainanese chicken and chugging down super refreshing juice. Yum yum yum!
lunch with the lovers
Entrance at the Grand Theatre was not as crowded as what i have previously experienced from my visit when we watched The Phantom of the Opera.
We were immediately shown to our seats and pleasantly surprised how near we were! aaaaaand, i think the highlight of the entire show was the audience participation wherein Norman was one of the 4 men picked from the crowd and have to do the grind dance as a task. hahaha!
the stage and me posing before being asked to remove myself from the stage because it was not allowed. hahaha!
before the show
It would have been more fun if the audience can get photo ops with the performers. oh well. Di nako choosy. hehe.

Last Thought About Singapore
i love Singapore! It is becoming my next favorite city to visit. Everything is there; food, shopping and unique attractions and show plus it's only 2 hours away from Jakarta. Ang saya!
As for the show, it was initially boring but things got better towards the half and end. Albeit the wheel of death stunt wasn't shown, everything else was amazing.
I am completely amazed how strong the performers' core skills and the strength. Man, some of the lady performers have the body to die for.
Anyway, I don't have any pending Singapore trip soon but hopefully, i'll be able to squeeze one before the year ends. We'll see. Cross fingers!
