enroute to going home in Philippines, i had a more than 8 hours lay over in Kuala Lumpur. so what to do to kill the time? hit KL downtown of course!
so here's what happened...
i arrived KLIA from my Phnom Penh flight at around 2pm. spent roughly 30 - 45 minutes to queue for immigration and collect my luggage. after which, i went to airport taxi booth to pay for coupon taxi (LCCT). damn it, it was so freaking expensive! i think i paid roughly 40 RM for it. another 20 - 25 minutes travel from KLIA to LCCT.
TIP: if your luggages are not that heavy, you may opt to take the bus. bus fare is only 7 RM from KLIA to LCCT.
as soon as i arrive LCCT, i went straight to Baggage Solutions to leave my bags before i hit downtown. This is located beside the international arrival area, near old town white coffee cafe.
i took the bus to go to KL sentral. buses in LCCT are located at the far side of the terminal, after the domestic flight departure and arrival area. bus fares vary from 8 - 9 RM for 1 hour travel to KL sentral.
as soon as i arrived in KL sentral, i walked towards the monorail. paid for bukit bintang token (2.10 RM) and waited for the train to arrive.
bukit bintang is a malaysia's shopper's heaven! aaaah! killed the rest of the day shopping in Lot 10 (h&m), sephora, bukit bintang plaza and sungwei plaza.
the paranoid in me left the city at around 9 pm. reached LCCT around 10pm and have decided to just wait for the check in counter to open.
so that was how i spent my stopover in kuala lumpur. a bit crazy and hectic schedule but nevertheless i had fun! :D
